SEA was developed to have real-time sound analysis capabilities on a Windows PC.
Mainly developed for bioacoustic studies, this software can be used for a wide range of applications requiring real-time display of sounds and vibrations.

It allows to view in real-time the spectrographic features of sounds acquired by any sound device compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME.
It also allows to record, play and analyze standard 16 bit .wav files.

In wave version (free for non-commercial use):

    • Sampling frequencies are supported up to 48kHz
    • Recording to disk and file playback, in this version, is limited up to 128MB files.
    • Recording to disk is limited to single files, while other SEA versions allow to record files in a set sequence for a set duration.
    • Real-time operation is limited to 1 hour of continuous use. The program can be restarted.
    • FFT size is limited to 2048 samples and frequency zooming is up to 4x
    • User settings can not be saved.
    • Multiple instances of the program are not allowed.
    • To reach maximum ease of use the "advanced settings" panel is disabled.
